On the other hand, Casemiro has been absent from the playing field since he had to leave the pitch during United’s Carabao Cup fourth-round match against Newcastle United in November.

After making a full return to training, the 31-year-old is eager to rejoin the competitive atmosphere. Despite a busy December schedule, United has only two confirmed matches this month, with the first against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup’s third round on Monday.
