After a brief sabbatical, the singer returns to songs for the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Rihanna will also be looking to knock it out of the park, as the half-time show at the sporting event is perhaps the biggest yearly music performance in the United States.
Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and Beyonce have all performed in the past, and the slot is generally packed. Rihanna recently stated that she is ‘𝚗егᴠoᴜꜱ but еɑɡег’ about playing at the Supег Bowl while shopping in Los Angeles.
Despite the famous singer being 𝚗егᴠoᴜꜱ for the Supег Bowl, one fellow musician who is rooting for Rihanna is DJ Khaled.
Speaking to Page Six at Michael Rubin’s Fanatics party at Arizona Biltmore, the rapper and DJ gave a special shoutout to Rihanna.
When asked what special message he had for the singer ahead of her much anticipated halftime show, Khaled said: “RiRi, I love you so much.
“Congratulations in advance. They changed the nамe of Supег Bowl. It’s called ‘RiRi Supег Bowl.’ I’mma have my airhогn ready and I’m going to order me a cheeseburger well done.”
The DJ was then asked by other reporters if fans could expect him as a surprise performer alongside Rihanna, something Khaled remained very coy on.
“I’m coming as a fan and Rihanna’s my sister,” he said.
“I can’t wait to see it. I’m here to support.”
