DJ Khaled expressed his interest in potentially becoming a team owner in NASCAR, particularly envisioning a car bearing his signature slogan, “We The Best,” on the track in the future. The Miami-based DJ had been set to serve as the honorary flagman for the Daytona 500, but the race’s postponement to Monday led to the cancellation of performances by both DJ Khaled and rapper Pitbull, who is a partial owner of Trackhouse Racing.
Despite the rain-induced setback, DJ Khaled enthusiastically shared his aspiration to be involved in NASCAR as a team owner, citing his desire to have a ‘We The Best’ car in the competition.
Pitbull, also known as ‘Mr. Worldwide,’ confirmed his commitment to return and perform before the 2025 Daytona 500, emphasizing a handshake agreement without formal contracts. Expressing his excitement for the race weekend, DJ Khaled gave a nod to other celebrity team owners, including 6-time NBA champion Michael Jordan, who is supporting his 23XI Racing drivers at the event.
Khaled admired the contributions of figures like Jordan to the sport and envisioned a future where his ‘We The Best’ car would compete and bring home trophies.
