The character was created by debut screenwriter Tory Kamen and was inspired by her late grandmother Elinore, who died in 2020 at the age of 99.
Kamen exclaimed on Instagram last Friday, “This is so beyond anything I’d hoped for this script over the last eight years of writing and rewriting and rewriting it.”
“My only wish is that my grandma Elinore could witness this, but she was infamous for not being able to read trades.”
The 25-year-old British-Brit actress, who is most known for her role in the Disney+ 2022 series Willow, assumed the persona of Eleanor’s new 19-year-old pal.
Erin was dressed in a beige leather blazer by costume designer Tom Broecker, which she wore over a white blouse, beige sweater vest, baggy brown trousers and boots. June, on the other hand, had on a lavender coat.
Cinematographer Hélène Louvart, who previously worked as DP on Alice Rohrwacher’s 2023 feature La Chimaera and Eliza Hittman’s 2020 film Never Rarely Sometimes Always, also joined Johansson on set.
The two-time Oscar nominee said in 2022 on the Table for Two podcast that she would prefer to work in producing rather than directing in movies, adding, “My dream job would be a corner office on the Disney lot.” similar to a tiny [bungalow]. That’s my desire.
Scarlett cast Jessica Hecht, her former co-star from the Broadway production of A View From the Bridge at the Cort Theatre in 2010—a production that won her a Tony Award.
Scarlett makes sure that everything on the Eleanor the Great set is under control.
