The 2022 American Music Awards took center stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, with Wayne Brady assuming hosting duties.
Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter was among the prominent figures chosen to grace the stage as presenters during the event, where Taylor Swift clinched all six nominations, including the prestigious Artist Of The Year award.
The ceremony also featured the recognition of Lionel Richie, who received the esteemed 2022 Icon Award for his profound global impact on the music industry.
Before the event kicked off, the 23-year-old Carpenter made a stunning appearance on the red carpet, showcasing her toned physique in a silver metallic skirt adorned with cascading metal strings. Completing the ensemble was a matching crop top featuring similar metallic accents and silver platform heels. Carpenter’s blonde locks, parted in the center, flowed gracefully down her shoulders and reached the middle of her back.
Later in the night, Carpenter graced the stage as a presenter during one of Swift’s triumphant wins, sharing a heartfelt hug with the Folklore star. Swift took the opportunity to impart words of wisdom to her devoted fan base.
While Carpenter is recognized by some for her acting roles in series like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, as well as films such as The Hate U Give and Emеrgеncy, she has also established herself as a musician with five studio albums since 2015.
Her debut album, Eyes Wide Open (2015), made a notable debut on the US Billboard charts, and she has since released four more albums, including the latest, Emails I Can’t Send, in July.
The album has produced four singles: Skinny Dipping, Fast Times, Vicious, and Because I Liked A Boy. Carpenter commenced the Emails I Can’t Send Tour in September in support of her latest musical endeavor.
