Birdman returns $50 million and apologizes to Lil Wayne during the Lil WeezyAna Festival: ‘I knew this day was coming.’

Birdman has openly apologized to Lil Wayne for their previous legal issues. The “I’m sorry” came on August 25 during the annual Lil Weezyana Fest.

He addressed the New Orleans crowd, “I knew this day would come, but I didn’t know when.” Say, “I’m sorry.”

After they apologized, Birdman and Weezy performed “Still Fly” by Big Tymers. Look below.

The world has known for years that Wayne and Birdman’s relationship is bad. Wayne sued Cash Money for $51 million in 2015, claiming the record label violated the terms of his contract by repeatedly delaying his album Tha Carter V and failing to pay him adequately.

Since then, Wayne has repeatedly called out Cash Money’s CEO while playing live, and Birdman has stated that Carter V will be released. Things started to look up for Wayne and Birdman earlier this year. In March, they were spotted together at a club. Birdman posted a photo of himself and Wayne at a club, captioned “Me and my SON.”
