Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is anticipated to contribute over $225 million to Singapore’s economy.
With six sold-out concerts in the city-state, the 34-year-old singer is projected to boost sectors like hospitality, food and beverage, and retail.
According to DBS Bank Ltd. economist Han Teng Chua, the economic impact will be driven by higher foreign tourist spending, particularly from overseas fans attending the concerts.
The concerts are expected to add 0.2 percentage points to Singapore’s GDP in the first quarter.
Despite the fragility of the trade-reliant economy, experts believe growth will pick up more sustainably in the second half of the year.
Following the Asian leg of her world tour, Swift celebrated with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and bandmates in Singapore.
Kelce, a Sᴜper Bowl winner and tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, attended Swift’s show, garnering media attention for the couple.
Swift will resume her tour in Europe in May, while Kelce plans to host his Kelce Jam music festival in Kansas on May 18 during the NFL off-season.
