Sabrina Carpenter embraced the festive season during her performance at the annual Z100 Jingle Ball in New York City.
The pop musician and Eras Tour opener graced the stage at Madison Square Garden, joining a star-studded lineup that included SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, OneRepublic, Pentatonix, and more.
Carpenter donned a delicately feminine ensemble featuring a white corset, ruffled shorts, elbow-length gloves, and a garter.
Her setlist included a blend of her Һit songs and tracks from her recent holiday EP, “fruitcake.” Beginning with “Feather,” a song that previously stirred controversy with the Catholic Church due to its corresponding music video, Carpenter transitioned into the holiday spirit with “Is It New Year’s Yet?”
Playfully referring to herself as “Sabrina Clause,” she carried a giant candy cane as a prop while traversing the stage.
Carpenter concluded her set with a surprise performance of “Nonsense,” incorporating festive twists to the lyrics. Instead of the original “Sounds like blah, blah, blah,” she sang, “Sounds like ho, ho, ho.” She added lines like “I got that holiday glee” and “look at all those presents, that’s a big stack.”
In 2022, Sabrina Carpenter released her album, “Emails I Couldn’t Send,” and has solidified her position as an emerging pop star. Despite an early career rift with Olivia Rodrigo, Carpenter has continued to achieve significant success. Notably, she has been an opening act for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which is currently on hiatus.
