Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is atoning for his prior transgressions.

The Black Adam action hero posted a video on social media over the weekend, showing off his recent visit to a 7-Eleven in Hawaii. During the visit, he purchased the whole store’s supply of Snickers bars and offered them to any hungry patrons for free.

Not only was it a kind gesture, but Johnson, 50, was also performing it as atonement.

The Oahu native revealed that 36 years prior, at the age of 14, he used to visit that exact 7-Eleven every day and, because he couldn’t afford to buy one, he would steal a King-sized Snickers on his way to the gym. In his Instagram image of his pre-workout snack, he wrote, “I was broke as hell,” adding that “the same clerk was there every day and always just turned her head and never busted me.”

Johnson and his family were forced to leave Hawaii some months later. In the years that followed, the professional wrestler who later became an actor enjoyed enormous success, yet his shoplifting still affected him.

It was the reason he decided to settle on that particular convenience store site. The Oahu native stated, “Had to ‘right the wrong’ back home in Hawaii after all these years,” in a Sunday Instagram photo.

The star was seen on a videotape of his search for forgiveness clearing the store’s shelves of all Snickers and taking them up to the cash register.

In addition, he snapped pictures of himself with other 7-Eleven patrons and kindly picked up the tab for those who were waiting to pay.

“Many thanks for it. Thank you,” Johnson said to the clerk. “If somebody looks like they’re stealing Snickers, give them these so they don’t steal them”

“We can’t change the past and some of the dumb stuff we may have done, but every once in a while we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation — and maybe put a big smile on some stranger’s faces,” he said. He continued, “I finally exorcised this damn chocolate demon that’s been gnawing at me for decades.”Dwayne “The Rock” ‘He Inspires the World,’ Johnson Says About His Second Meeting with Cancer Survivor

Fans of Johnsons are aware of his charitable endeavors, which have included helping children with cancer and shocking pupils with disabilities, among other things. He even purchased his mother a house this past summer.

He said in the heartfelt post in June, “These days, I’ll gladly take her tears of joy. When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry.”

Johnson went on: “I always say, if you got a good mom then you got a shot at becoming a good, caring human being.”
