Inscribed at the base are lyrics from her Һit song “Hips Don’t Lie,” symbolizing her global fаme. The statue, situated by the Magdalena River, celebrates her contributions to both Colombian and global music.Shakira’s parents, William Mebarak and Nidia Ripoll, attended the unveiling ceremony. She thanked sculptor Yino Marquez and his team for creating the masterpiece.With her powerful voice and unique talent, Shakira has sold over 80 million albums worldwide. Her famous songs include “Waka Waka” and “La La La,” among others.

Throughout her career, she has won three Grammy Awards. This statue stands as a testament to Shakira’s enduring impact on music.
