Photographs of her mingling with designers became a common sight. She also made appearances as a model, notably walking the runway alongside Naomi Campbell and Veronica Webb at the “Fashion for Relief” show benefiting Hurricane Katrina victims during the spring 2006 season of New York Fashion Week. Furthermore, in the spring of 2011, Beyoncé and her mother, Tina Knowles, launched their fashion brand, House of Deréon, debuting it at London Fashion Week. Despite Beyoncé’s star power, the brand closed down the following year. Beyoncé has since moved on to her latest venture in the fashion world, the activewear brand Ivy Park.
