Beyoncé took a break from her ongoing Renaissance World Tour to lend her support to husband Jay-Z and his new Book of HOV exhibition at the Brooklyn Central Library.
The Book of HOV exhibition includes ‘thousands of archived objects, including original recording masters, never-before-seen photos, iconic stage wear, prestigious awards and recognitions, as well as videos and artifacts from every facet on Jay-Z’s professional life,’ according to the event’s website.
The pop superstar, who tried to spend as much time at Thursday’s event with their daughter Blue Ivy, 11, documented their experience on her Instagram the following day.
She was able to attend the opening due to a three-day break in her tour schedule that enabled her to fly to New York after her show in Marseille, France on Tuesday, July 11.
Despite her grueling schedule and jet-setting ways, Beyonce was still the picture of elegance at the exhibition in a bright orange dress with a 1970s retro feel.

The 32-time Grammy Award winner would also stage an impromptu photoshoot while she browsed the shelves of books on display at the library.
Several of the images showed her holding up what looked to be a promotional book for the event that read: ‘The Book Of HOV’ in white on the blue cover.
She also also struck a few poses away from the shelves, and alongside some of the more artistic pieces that were part of her husband’s exhibit.
The exhibition, which is now open to the public, covers most of the Brooklyn Public Library’s 352,000 square feet.
Jay-Z’s business partner, Bruce Ratner, just happened to be married to Linda Johnson, who’s the CEO and president of the Brooklyn Public Library.
