Tina Knowles shared a cute exchange between her daughter Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and her granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter on the red carpet of the world premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé in London on Thursday.
The precocious 11-year-old braved England’s freezing winter weather wearing only a sleeveless black Versace gown and $295 Kimeze ‘Gabriel’ cat-eye sunglasses selected by her famous 42-year-old mother’s stylist Shiona Turini.
‘Are you cold?’ Beyoncé asked Blue in the 1C temperature, who responded: ‘Yeah.’
Knowles-Carter then told a staffer behind the camera, ‘Wait a minute. She’s cold,’ and dashed off, seemingly, to find her eldest child a coat.
The 32-time Grammy winner could certainly relate considering she was scantily clad in a crotch-flashing, black blazer dress from Thom Browne’s FW/23 collection, which she accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
‘This has me in tears right now,’ the 69-year-old grandmother-of-four wrote in the caption.
‘To the fans that are there uplifting this beautiful, talented 11-year-old I thank you. I appreciate you.’
Tina (born Célestine Ann Beyoncé) is Blue’s biggest supporter online – frequently gushing over how well she dances, sings, plays the piano, acts, writes, paints, sculpts, sews, and plays basketball/volleyball.
‘There’s really nothing that you can’t do,’ Knowles gushed on January 8.
‘You are funny and beautiful and graceful, Kind, and so smart. I could not ask for a better granddaughter Ms. Blue Ivy Carter! I could not be more blessed, grateful, and completely in love with another human. You truly bring me joy!’
On Wednesday, the Renaissance costume designer shared a video of the privileged nepo-baby, at age 5, getting down at a Debbie Allen Dance Academy class in LA with the caption: ‘Always has danced her little heart out!’
Indeed, Blue only had ‘a little over a week’ to rehearse the ‘complicated choreography’ required to dance back-up during Beyoncé’s songs My Power and Black Parade on her grueling 56-date Renaissance World Tour.
On October 7, Tina posted side-by-side footage of Carter performing on her first night compared to her final night of Knowles-Carter’s $579.8M-grossing ninth concert tour supporting her seventh studio album.
