Ojani Noa, Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, has partially attributed their divorce to Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In an appearance on “Despierta America,” Noa discussed the breakdown of their brief marriage, which lasted from 1997 to 1998.
When questioned about the reason for their split, Noa stated, “Part of that divorce was Diddy’s fault.”
He explained in Spanish, “When Sony came and paid her the millions she received, Diddy was involved as one of the producers for several tracks on her first album On The 6,” adding that this marked the beginning of deception and lies that led to their separation.
Noa shared, “I was in Los Angeles opening my restaurant while she was in Miami and New York working on the album.”
“When I had the chance, I would go see her. It was during that distance and separation that the deception began,” he remarked regarding his divorce from the “On The Floor” singer.
Additionally, Noa claimed in the interview that the failure of their ill-fated marriage negatively impacted his career and hindered his opportunities for various jobs.
“I would ask Jennifer, ‘What have I done to you that led you to take me to court, accuse me, lie about me, create false narratives, and contact several companies to get me fired from different television networks?’”
“Why would you do this if I haven’t done anything to you? Let her speak the truth and reveal everything that happened,” he added.
Page Six has reached out to representatives for Lopez and Combs for their comments.
Lopez dated Combs from 1999 to 2001, and several photos from their relationship have resurfaced amid Combs’ legal troubles.
Earlier this year, the Bad Boy Records producer faced lawsuits from multiple womеn for sеxual аssault, including his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
Lopez has not yet responded to her ex-husband’s allegations and is currently in the process of divorcing Ben Affleck.
Despite her silence, fans have recalled an interview on the “Wendy Williams Show” where Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodríguez, strongly opposed her daughter reuniting with Combs.
In December 1999, Lopez was with the rapper-turned-mogul during a shоoting incident at a New York City nightclub.
The couple fled the scene, leading to a police chase, and both were ultimately arrested.
Lopez was released after spending 14 hours “bawling” in a holding cell without being charged.
