Jennifer Lopez has been deliberately avoiding questions about her ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and his legal troubles, even as public curiosity grows about whether she knew anything when the alleged incidents occurred.
Paparazzi recently caught up with the multi-talented star twice, hoping for her reaction to the disturbing accusations against the embattled rapper.
After a screening of her new film Unstoppable in Los Angeles on Oct. 26, Lopez stopped to sign autographs for fans, when one woman asked, “Do you have any comments about P. Diddy?”
With a serious expression, as captured in a clip shared by the Daily Mail, the “Jenny From the Block” singer acted as though she hadn’t heard the question and quickly left with her bodyguard.
In another clip from Page Six, Lopez was seen leaving LA hotspot Funke on Oct. 19, following dinner with her manager, Benny Medina, when a paparazzo asked, “Hey Jennifer, do you have anything to say about the P. Diddy situation?”
Dressed in a sleek tan dress and accompanied by a male friend, the Hustlers actress looked visibly uncomfortable, glanced downward, and swiftly entered the passenger side of a waiting vehicle.
Lopez is not the only celebrity with past connections to Sean Combs who is now trying to keep distance.
In early October, when Kevin Hart was questioned about hosting parties for the “Bad Boy for Life” rapper, he replied, “You’re asking the wrong person the wrong question, man. That’s not a good question.”
Even as Lopez refrains from commenting on her ex’s legal matters, her name surfaced in the scandal when former Playboy model Rachel Kennedy alleged that Combs made her watch one of Lopez’s music videos at a “Freak Off” party.
“It felt strange to be watching [Lopez’s] video in that context,” Kennedy claimed on the Daily Mail’s “The Trial of Diddy” podcast on Friday. “It came across as unsettling and disrespectful.”
Kennedy also alleged that during their encounter, Combs was on the phone with Lopez, which reportedly took place in a Tokyo hotel room in 2000.
Lopez and Combs dated for two years, from 1999 to 2001.
Combs, now 54, faces allegations of rаping at least one victim during that period. However, Lopez, 55, has not been implicated in any of his lawsuits or accused of any involvement.
