Sean “Diddy” Combs expressed heartfelt gratitude to his children for “staying strong” as he remains in jail awaiting trial on sеx trafficking charges.
“I love y’all, I love y’all so much,” the 55-year-old rapper told his seven kids, who called to sing “Happy Birthday” to him, according to a video shared on Instagram by his son, Justin Dior Combs, on Monday.
“I can’t wait to see y’all. I just want to say I’m proud of y’all, especially the girls. I mean, all of you for staying strong.”
“Thank you all for being resilient and standing by me with your support. I love you,” Sean continued.
“I have the best family in the world. It’s my birthday, and I’m grateful. Thank you.”
The “I’ll Be Missing You” star hinted at plans for his children to visit him at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center this week, adding, “See you in a couple of days.”
In addition to Justin, 30, Sean is also father to sons Quincy Brown, 33, and Christian “King” Combs, 26, as well as daughters Chance Combs, 18, twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs, 17, and Love Combs, 1.
The embattled rapper shares Christian, D’Lila, and Jessie with his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, with whom he had a relationship from 1994 to 2007.
Sean also adopted Quincy, Porter’s son, whose biological father is musician Al B. Sure.
The founder of Bad Boy Records has Justin with fashion designer Misa Hylton, while Chance’s mother is Sarah Chapman.
His youngest daughter, Love, was welcomed with Dana Tran.
Since Sean’s arrest in September on charges of sеx trafficking, rackеteering, and transporting individuals for prоstitution, his six oldest children have consistently stood by him.
Last month, they collectively posted on Instagram to condemn the “absurdity” of the accusations against their father.
“Our family has been devastated over the past month,” they wrote. “Many have rushed to judge both him and us, fueled by accusations, conspiracy theories, and untrue narratives that have spiraled into ridiculous claims on social media.
“We stand together, supporting you every step of the way. We believe the truth will ultimately prevail, and nothing can weaken our family’s strength.”
The message was shared alongside a photo of Sean with his children and his mother, Janice Combs, taken at Love’s birthday celebration last year.
