In J. Cole’s Instagram post, he and Diddy appear closer than ever. It seems the two have put past issues behind them, letting old tensions ease away.

As you may recall, Cole dropped his album “The Off-Season” after taking a break. During his downtime, he referenced the incident at the 2013 VMAs and his rumored clash with Diddy. In the track “Let.Go.My.Hand,” he raps, “Couple wins, couple losses, some broken up too quick to call it. My last altercation was with Puff Daddy.”

Who would’ve thought? Back in seventh grade, I had his album on repeat—you’d have thought Puff was my favorite artist. I didn’t know anything then, but now I’ve learned a lot.
