Christian “King” Combs, Diddy’s son, faced criticism for taking over the incarcеrated rapper’s Instagram to promote ‘positivity’ amid ongoing sеx trafficking charges against his father.
The 55-year-old rapper was arrested in September on federal charges, including rackеteering, conspiracy, sеx trafficking, and transporting individuals for prоstitution. He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn.
Christian, 27, the son of the late Kim Porter, addressed Diddy’s 19.8 million Instagram followers on Wednesday, saying, “I’m taking over my dad’s Instagram for now. We’ll be sharing videos, spreading good vibes, and looking back at all the positive things he’s done. Stay tuned and keep watching. We love you, Pops. Happy birthday!”
Fans quickly flooded the comment section with harsh criticism amid Diddy’s legal troubles.
One user commented, “We don’t trust you either, Lil Diddy,” while another wrote, “Today is not the day, little boy. Go sit down,” and, “Bruh, your timing is absolutely terrible.”
Another added, “What people need to understand is that he can love and fully support his dad, but trying to make us overlook years of evidence, footage, lawsuits, and accusations is too much. Love and support him privately, but don’t expect us to do the same.”
One user even referenced his alleged assault on ex Cassie Ventura, writing, “No. We saw him stomp on Cassie in 4K. Go to hеll.”
This comes after Diddy broke his silence from prison on his 55th birthday, November 4, when his children called to wish him a happy birthday. In a video shared by his son Justin Dior Combs, 30, Diddy expressed pride in his children and said he was “looking forward to seeing them soon” after they sang to him.
His youngest daughter, Love, 2, whom he shares with Dana Tran, joined her siblings D’Lila and Jessie, 17, Quincy, 33, Christian, and Justin in the heartfelt clip. The family sang “Happy Birthday” and celebrated with a cake for the incarcеrated rapper.
