Keanu Reeves appeared to be dressed in character as he departed a private jet

Acting commitments for the eagerly anticipated third installment in the Bill and Ted film franchise began in June.

But while Sunday presented a welcome break in the shooting schedule, Keanu Reeves appeared to be dressed in character as he departed a private jet.

The 54-year old actor sported a black bomber jacket with the name of Bill and Ted’s fictional group,  Wyld Stallyns, emblazoned across the back.

This looks familiar: Keanu Reeves wore a black bomber jacket with the name of Bill and Ted’s imaginary group, Wyld Stallyns, inscribed on the back as he boarded a private flight on Sunday.

With his long hair visible beneath a trucker’s cap, Keanu might easily be confused for a middle-aged Ted “Theodore” Logan, the bumbling figure who helped him become a household name.

As he walked across the tarmac shortly after landing at a private airport in Los Angeles, the actor dressed casually in a lilac T-shirt and loose-fitting, tattered trousers.

Keanu, an excellent musician, also had a guitar case on hand after his travel to Southern California.

Fans of the classic film series will recognize the peculiar moniker Wyld Stallyns, which represents the budding rock band fronted by Ted and his close buddy, Bill S. Preston, Esq, played by Alex Winter.

In the original film, Keanu and Alex portrayed high school students who were more concerned with their band than their poor scores in history.

However, after learning that a Utopian civilization centuries in the future relies on their passing history, the two are taken on a tour through civilization’s main moments, led by a guide played by the late George Carlin.

Thirty years later, with his long hair showing beneath a trucker’s cap, Keanu might easily be confused for middle-aged Ted “Theodore” Logan, the bumbling character who helped him become a household figure.

A sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, goes even deeper, transporting Bill and Ted to the depths of the underworld.

In the latest film Bill & Ted Face the Music, Keanu and Alex resume their roles to produce a song that can save all of humanity, with the help of some legendary musicians from the past.
