He’s hailed one of Hollywood’s most handsome stars.
But Keanu Reeves looked worlds away from his dapper self as he continued to film new action thriller John Wick 2 in Rome, Italy, on Monday.
The Matrix actor – who plays the title role in the upcoming release – cut an untypically scruffy figure as he got into character on the set which appeared to be outside a large art gallery in the cultural capital.

Keanu, 51, sported a deliberately dirty top which was long-sleeved and button-up in style for the latest shooting session.

The cream cotton number featured black scuff marks which seemingly suggested the drama is set to follow the leading character throughout the film.
The Canadian movie favourite teamed the top with a pair of comfortable blue jeans and some dark brown suede lace-ups.

Keanu’s outgrown brown hair – which was parted in the middle – completed his dressed down look and perfectly fitted in with his character’s aesthetic.
His co-star Ruby Rose was nowhere to be seen and instead scores of extras were draughted in to make the scene seem as realistic as possible.
Keanu has been cast as a retired hit-man who seeks revenge for the brutal killing of his puppy and theft of his beloved vintage car in action-thriller directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch.

While Keanu’s latest shoot didn’t feature a fraction of the action of previous ones, evidence of the stunt he’s filmed so far was evident.
The multi-award winner’s knuckles looked sore as they were slightly bloodied but it’s unclear whether the marks were real or the handy work of the make-up department.
Filming for the John Wick sequel began in New York last October and the cast have been pictured shooting scenes in Rome in recent weeks.
And while filming is well under way, a release date is yet to be confirmed.
