It has been almost 20 years since Bill Belichick became head coach for the New England Patriots, and in that time the six-time Super Bowl winner has seldom been seen far from the sidelines.

Until now.

The man most consider to be the greatest NFL coach of all time was spotted on Sunday enjoying some fun in the sun with his girlfriend Linda Holliday, 55, in Barbados.

Protection: The New England patriots coach, 66, and his longtime girlfriend stayed at the Sandy Lane Resort

Floaters: Rooms at the exclusive resort can go for over $3,000 a night, and the two took advantage of all the resort had to offer

Relaxin’: The pair laid out on the beach, caught some rays on a float and later dived into the water like a couple of kids

Head first: Belichick headed down to the tropical island to meet up with Holliday after the annual NFL Combine, and a month after winning his sixth Super Bowl

Off-season: Belichick, 66, also left his short-sleeve sweatshirts back home for the trip, and strolled the beach in a pair of swim trunks alongside his bikini-clad girlfriend

Island in the sun: Holliday was a big college fan prior to meeting Belichick, having grown up in Nashville where she spent every weekend cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers come football season

Giving back: In addition to cheering on the coach each Sunday, Holliday is also the head of his charitable foundation

Pageant princess: Holliday is also a beauty queen, having been runner-up in the Mrs. Arkansas pageant while married to her first husband

Waterworld: Prior to her work with the Bill Belichick Foundation, Holliday owned a women’s clothing boutique and was a stylist
