Diddy and Dre come together in the studio for their first collaboration since their 2014 fallout

After a business dispute, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Dr. Dre reunited in the studio eight years later.

Diddy celebrated the reunion by sharing photos of the two together in a recording studio on Instagram.

In the first image, Diddy leans in to speak to a smiling Dre while they hold hands. The third and fourth photos show Diddy attentively listening to Dre, the mastermind behind “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,” while the second photo captures their collaboration.

Diddy captioned the images, reflecting on his first impression of Dre’s music, which set a standard for the type of producer he aspired to work with.

He continued, expressing how working with Dre the previous night gave him a new perspective, particularly noting Dre’s dedication and unique style. Diddy humorously added, “I really need to get more focused, LOL.”

In the fifth photo, Diddy is seen working his magic in the recording booth.

Also pictured in the studio with the duo were Kanye West and Snoop Dogg.

The rift between Diddy and Dre stemmed from a 2014 incident when Tyrese Gibson prematurely revealed on Facebook that Apple was about to acquire Dr. Dre’s Beats business for $3.2 billion. This leak caused tension, with Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, renegotiating the deal to $3 billion, leaving Dre $200 million short after Diddy saw the clip leaked to Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine.
