It’s hard to find a genuine friend in Hollywood.

 

But there was no doubting the close relationship between Samuel L Jackson and Magic Johnson as they enjoyed a well earned vacation in Italy on Tuesday.

The dynamic duo were joined by their wives as they worked on their True Bromance by partaking in a shopping and sightseeing day out in the Genoan coastal fishing village of Portofino.

Avengers star Sam, 65, looked as cool as a pensioner gets in a blue polo shirt, tartan shorts, and trainers.

And he seemed to be paying tribute to his surroundings by rounding off his ensemble with a trendy fisherman’s hat.

Basketball legend Magic, 54, also pushed the envelope by wearing a flamboyant pink polo shirt, plaid shorts and white shoes.

Later, the pair looked equally bored as they waited around inside a designer clothes shop after being dragged in by their other halves.

They even dress the same: The only difference was the colour as they donned polo shirts, shorts and trainers

However it is unlikely they will have been swapping basketball anecdotes to kill time, as while Sam’s beloved San Antionio were crowned NBA champions this year, Magic’s LA Lakers did not even make the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade.

Afterwards his team’s remarkable triumph the True Romance favourite tweeted: ‘I love waking up to Good News. SPURS!! CHAMPS!! Way to take care of bizness. Congrats to All!!! I’m… YAAAAYYYYY!!!!!

European trips have become something of a summer ritual for the fast friends.

The pals took to Italy in 2011 for a similar family holiday in the Genoan city of Portofino.

And they visited the island of Capri last July for their second shared Italian holiday in three years.
